SUMMARY:Human Rights and Equalities Board Meeting
DESCRIPTION:We appreciate how busy you will be\, but\, as an important part of our valued network of communities and organisations\, we would value your attendance to share your thoughts and insights into the challenges we’re facing as a city\, and discuss some of the potential solutions we could all consider. \nPlease join us for the next meeting of York’s Human Rights and Equalities Board\, which will be taking place from 11.00am – 1.00pm on Wednesday 23rd September in West Offices\, Station Rise. \nThe topics due to be discussed include: \n\nthe differing aspects of the attainment gap in the city and explore the three elements of the recommendations in the report\,\nthe rise in hate crime in the city and the recommendation to take a human right’s based approach to community cohesion and inclusion\, and\nthe ongoing wide gender pay gap across the city\, along with disability and ethnicity pay gaps and propose ways to move forward in co-producing solutions.\n\nThe meeting will be hosted as a hybrid session\, so attendance can be either in-person or digitally via Zoom.
